Relay Server for Afaria

Hello Folks,

We are planning to implement Sybase relay server in DMZ for afaria. I have couple of queries regarding the same. Please provide your help if aware of the same.

1. Can we implement 2 relay servers in 1 windows hardware for DEV and QA afaria system.

2. What is the process to apply CA signed SSL certificate to relay server in order to publish it to internet.

3. Is there any documentation for setting up relay server in HA for production.

, I wanted to make sure that you were aware that there is some additional configuration that is necessary for Afaria's usage of relay server. You should also review the document below:

Additional configuration guides can be found under the site help.sap.com/afaria by choosing your installation level then choosing the "Configuring Afaria" guide.

Regarding your first question, it is a common configuration to set up one instance of Relay Server on a server and have separate farm configurations for DEV and QA. I think Kevin has covered your other questions.

There is very little to do on Relay Server for configuring SSL with certificates as that is a function of the IIS server.  For Relay Server it is just a parameter for HTTPS or not.  You can see this in the product documentation http://dcx.sap.com/index.html#sqla170/en/html/a90aadb5502846d2a7116177ac16d685.html.

FYI, I mainly deal with SMP and not Afaria, but Relay Server is used by both products.
