Error for COM routine using application program (1028814-)

Hi Experts,

When I load a CVC in the planning book, I get error as - "Error for COM routine using application program (return code 1028814-)"

I have no clue what to do next?

Please help.

I searched for solution in the SCN for this issue but couldn't get.

Hi,

Please refer to note 2287599.
It looks only initializing the PA is not enough. You may need to perform data backup into infocube, de-initialize the PA and initialize it again, then reload the data back.

Thanks Ada for your early response.

We are getting this error for only one CVC. I can load any other CVC in the planning book.

Just for one CVC, client is not comfortable to do all the steps that you mentioned i.e. taking back up and de-initialize and initialize again the Planning Area.

Can I try to delete this single CVC and create the CVC again.I hope not to get error in this case again.

Hi Ada,

you are correct!

we just experienced one example.

@Prabhat,

what kind of error message when you run these consistency report? if system find some inconsistencies (more than 1) but can not fix this.  check your basis of LC parameter has been changed or not. ( LC/database studio in windows, not in SAP)

just 1 CVC. yes, deletion will resolve your problem...

Hi  Prabhat,

             Please try to run OM17 for DP time series selected . Schedule the job in background . It may run for a while based on the volume & planning horizon.

     Hope this help.

Hi Prabhat,

This error probably arisen due to an issue with Livecache.

Execute TXN /sapapo/om17 to check livecache inconsistencies, check all -  importantly DP timeseries inconsistency check.

Execute /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK report.

Analyse and correct the issues.

If you're not able to resolve the issue even after clearing the inconsistencies, Then

Back up the Planning Area

Reinitialize the Planning Area and check the results.

Just my thoughts

Hi Vinoth - Thanks for your reply.

I already ran both the report but no luck.

PA is being initialized daily in batch using - /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE
