Hello siva,

<b>Gap analysis</b> is start point of Realization and once blue print is finished we have to find the realization of sap system for client requirment and there will be certain gaps when compared to system fit. Those gaps can be closed either by re-engineering of business process to fit with SAP or we have to use USER exits in case of small deviations or complete enhancements with the help of ABAP to fit with the SAP system.

In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world. In information technology, gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information systems or applications( ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and where we want to be." Gap analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that space.

Actual gap analysis is time consuming and it plays vital role in blue print stage.

<b>Revenue account </b>is Account to which prices are posted or Account to which revenue from normal business transactions is posted.

<b>Balance sheet account</b> is Account on which the debit and credit entries resulting from business transactions are recorded. The balance of a balance sheet account is carried forward onto itself at fiscal year-end.

<b>Shipment:</b>

The grouping together of goods at a transportation planning point, which have been transported together from the respective points of departure. This is the basis for the planning, implementation and surveillance of physical shipments.

Shipping is A transaction type with which equipment or material is sent from one site to the next.

<b>Transportation:</b>

It’s part of Transportation Management which is a complete and integrated solution that creates, executes, and monitors shipments. SAP Transportation Management provides different options for consolidating deliveries and orders as shipments. It is possible to combine orders based on rules and strategies, based on optimization logic in SAP APO, or interactively and manually in SAP ERP and SAP APO. It is also possible to combine orders using collaboration over the Internet. If you decide to rely on your carrier's ability to consolidate your orders into shipments, you can give your carrier access to your deliveries through the Internet, where it can consolidate your shipments. Different types of shipment documents have been defined to enable you to reflect in the system the various forms of transportation used. You can use shipment documents to:

1. Specify shipment stages, legs, border crossing points, and load transfer points.

2. Assign service agents and means of transport.

3. Define the packaging for goods (handling unit management).

4. Specify planned transportation deadlines.

5. Record actual transportation deadlines and statuses.

6. Specify output required for transportation (such as shipping papers, XML, and EDI messages).

7. Define transport-relevant texts.

8. Separate document types and deal with inbound and outbound shipments
