Hi Experts,

We want to setup BI mobile server and connect it to a BI platform (2 clustered CMS).

From the documentation it's not clear how to configure the cluster CMS in the server.properties file in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat7\webapps\MOBIServer\WEB-INF

connectionName.DisplayName

connectionName.BOBJ_MOBILE_CMS=@BOCLUSTER         => I suppose

connectionName.BOBJ_MOBILE_URL = https://mobileserver

connectionName.BOBJ_MOBILE_AUTH_METHOD

connectionName.BOBJ_MOBILE_CONNECTION_TYPE

But where we need to define the @BOCLUSTER?

Hi Steven,

You are right in the connection parameters CMS needs to be entered as @BOCLUSTER.

Just import this connection to the SAP BusinessObjects client and try logging in.

Hi Vikas,

But how the mobile server knows then the hostname for CMS's?

Hi Steven,

It would be the same behviuor as BI Laucnhpad where if you put a cluster name it recognizes which CMS needs to be contacted based on availability. BI Launchpad could be assessed from anywhere.

Clustering information is something that is registered with the DNS.

For more information this may be helpful.

But normally the CMS cluster setup is done in E:\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom\PlatformServices.properties in a BI platform installation

How is this done in a BI mobile server?

Mobile Server Web Application does not supports clustering, you can only load balance the traffic to different instances of the mobile server based on your scaling needs.
