Dear SCN,
We have a requirement to be able to edit the Notification linked to the Work Order. Considering that this is standard functionality in ERP it should come out-of-the-box in SAP Work Manager as well.
We consulted a number of related SCN posts, however, none seem to discuss this for SAP Work Manager 6.2.
How to edit/post notification linked to Work order in Work Manager application ?
Edit notification linked to workorder in Syclo Work Manager 5.3
Notification linked to workorder in Syclo Work Manager 6.1 Sync Failed
Questions we have at this point:
1. Why is it that you can only display the Notification from the Work Order? What is the (technical) limitation?
2. Is there a recommended approach and solution to enable this requirement in SAP WM 6.x, and then how can this be achieved?
Best regards,
Edwin
Edwin,
Let me forward your question to our project team (Work Manager) owners to see if they can comment on this item as it is a why it is not part of standard question. Hopefully they respond directly or if they respond we can update this thread.

Good day Mark,
Thank you for your feedback.
It is not only about why it is not part of standard - that is just to help understand the background.
More importantly, the customer has raised this functional gap as a showstopper, so right now our focus and efforts are on finding a working solution for this.
Hope to receive further feedback soon.
Regards,
Edwin
Edwin,
Comments from our Work Manager Dev Team (Project Owners):
" OOB user should be able to edit the notification from the device from the Notification tab if it is assigned to that user. Currently we don’t allow user to edit linked notification from Work order screen but customer can enable and do the same configuration similar to regular notification from Notification tab. We not aware of any restrictions from the backend, customer need to make sure update step is properly configured similar to regular notification."
From this statement, there is an underlying statement that you will need to do some configuration and/or the link editing is not supported.
Best Regards,
Mark Pe
