Update a tables in DB2 from external application

Hi,

I have a situation where I need to update a 5 Z tables in db2 by an external application which would connect through ODBC. I'm new to OS 400 and i series navigator. Can any one suggest me how to accomplish this task or may be any articles or links regarding the same.

Hi,

if you want to connect to DB2-for-i with ODBC, or MS.NET-data provider

the ODBC-Driver is within software IBM i Access for Windows (or ODBC for unix)

if you use other Software e.g. Java, you can use the JT400-driver JDBC
