How to Import UNV file to Information Steward?

Hoping someone has a solutions for this situation.

My client has an outsourced provider who is building/managing the BO reporting universe.  The provider is reluctant to allow a connection from the clients CMC/Information Steward installation to there environment.  But will provide exported definitions using the UNV file format.

How can these file be imported to Information Steward?

David,

Two options:

1.  The developer could print the universe to PDF showing descriptions (manual and would require execution as needed).

2.  There is a BOE metadata integrator that can collect all/ subset of content including Universes.  This will extract all the metadata and allow you to view/ navigate via Information Steward.  You may need to use a custom report to view object definitions (eg all attribute descriptions).  There are standard SAP provided views (see MMRV) that may help you do this faster, or you can build your own universe on the IS repository.  The integrator can be scheduled nightly.

Option 2 would be better.
