Period Id as root v/s Week as root in the Planning level

What difference does it make if my planning level has

1) Only Period Id as root

2) Only Week as root

3) Both Period Id and Week as root

My Period - structure is:

Period Id

Week

Month

Quarter   

Year

You can have either Period Id or Week as a root   . But you cant have both Period Id and Week as a root together.

Hi Prakash/Matt,

Based on my understanding, if you have defined period ID = Root then you can choose any on the planning bucket (based on the time profile id. here it's week, month, quarter, year) in the planning view. but if you will define week = root id, then it will only allow you to view in weekly bucket in the planning view. please check.
