Database Resident Memory used around 95%,

Dear colleagues,

I am facing issue with with resident memory utilisation, currently around 95% of Total Resident memory is getting used. Can you please suggest me what action i could take to bring this utilisation level down

Hi Nilesh,

What is the size of HANA used memory? Did you see alerts related to HANA memory usage?

According to this note . its good if resident memory consumption is high, but what if 100% of resident memory get used by HANA ? There should be some amount memory also required for OS level operation.

Hi Nilesh,

HANA memory pool has predefined allocation limit, there is still some free memory available for OS itself.

So it is not possible to reach to 100% (Database Resident / Physical Memory < 100%)
