Regarding SAP integration with POS systems

Hi All,

Need some help from members here.

I am working with a Client and the Client intends to integrate its back end SAP ECC with front end POS for its Retail Stores , is there any document /link which talks of integration touch points of SAP and POS.

Also from the point of view of SAP is there any list of certified/preferred hardware/POS platforms.

Any information on above will be highly useful.

Hi,

this is a wide topic. You have to decide:

- ... which Messages/Technologies to be used for sending data to POS (Outbound) - e.g. there are IDocs available as well as WebServices

- ... wether sending back data from POS to ECC should go via SAP POS DM (Inbound)

From vendor perspective, there is a partner solution SAP POS by GK available.

It covers some aspects, but it may be a little bit outdated (as it is from 2005).
