URL in partner registration email goes to wrong client when executed

Former Member

Hello experts,

We are having a problem related to the URL link that gets placed in the "partner registration completed successfully" email message.

The URL link is supposed to bring up the SRM web page and put client "220" in the client field. For some unknown reason, the client field is always populated with "200". See here for example of the URL link:

https://sun08.jcc.jccal.org:1443/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/bbpvendor/?client=220&language=EN&~language=EN

See that 220 is shown? We want that, but we want the "220" to be populated in the login screen.

It brings up the SRM system but the client field shows 200, which is our default client when we log in to the SAPGUI.

Does anyone know how to change this so the URL points to the correct client (as shown in the URL)?

I tried editing the SICF --> BBPSTART service --> GUI configuration

I added ~CLIENT 220 and restarted the service.

I'm sure this is something simple but I can't figure it out.

By the way we are on SRM 5.5 SP7.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Hi,

You dont need to maintain any client parametre in service BBPSTART.Instead maintain the client 220 in service BBPVENDOR on client 200.

Experts,

thanks for everyone's input. We found the solution.

We applied SAP Note 1013920. There is a bug in the BBP_VENDOR_CREATE_F06 program.

The URL link became correct as soon as we applied this note and regenerated the email notification. The note changed all the ~client references to sap-client plus a few other things.

Thanks for everyone's help in pointing me to the right direction

Ramki,

We edited the TCODE ppomv_bbp in the "Current ITS for an External Partner" - "EXT_ITS"

We changed the value to this:

https://sun08.jcc.jccal.org:1443/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/bbpvendor?sap-client=220&;

But my problem is that the system does not seem to be taking the change. The emails we generate seem to show the OLD link. How do we get the system to send this new value in the registration emails? Do we need to restart any services?

I'd try your suggested link change, but like I said, the system is not taking the change.

Any thoughts? Thank you for your responses

Experts,

Sorry that got cut off.

We still have a problem. We found in the PPOMV_BBP where the link was being set incorrectlly in client 220. But even after we changed it, the email being generated still have the incorrect link.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? thanks.

Experts,

I think the problem is related to the URL link in the e-mail, not the BBPVENDR service itself.

When we changed the URL link to this, it works:

https://sun08.jcc.jccal.org:1443/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/bbpvendor?s

ap-client=220&

This is the OLD link:

https://sun08.jcc.jccal.org:1443/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/bbpvendor/!

?client=220&language=EN&~language=EN

Notice that we removed "!?~client=200"

We replaced it with "?sap-client

But we still have a problem with the

Everyone,

The problem is still happening. The URL link still shows client 200 when we click on the link to SRM.

All I've done so far is edit the BBPVENDOR service like you suggested.

I'm also going through the notes provided by Atul. Thanks.

Experts,

OK. Here is what I did.

I added this to the BBPVENDOR service in the gui configuration:

~CLIENT 220

I then stopped and restarted the service. I'll ask my testers to try again.

I'll let you know what happens.

All you folks are great. Thanks!

Hi Nick,

I suggest you to publish your services again from the client 220:

If still problem exists then go to Service in the client 220 with

Trasaction SICF and change the client setting in the Service to 220

( in case it is 200).

with regards,
