Hi ,
We are using PI 7.4 Dual stack and SQL-2012 as database . DB log growing day 10 GB daily . at the movement our basis team manually shrinking and solving the Issue . But we need a permanent solution for this ..
Kindly suggest how to manually delete the log file .
Regards,
Azmath.
Dear Azmath,
Hope you are doing good.
There are several points to check here: Which table is getting filled rapidly, is the DB related jobs running fine/ etc.
Your Basis team should check the /nDBACOCKPIT for more info and help in further analysis with the application team (if needed).
If you let us know the table, we can check further as well.
Hope this helps.

Dear Azmath,

Perhaps as a quick fix, page compression can be used. Please see:
<http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189080(v=sql.105).aspx>
Also check SAP Note #1488135 - Database compression for SQL Server.
and Note 1721843.
Perhaps better file management can be done as per SAP Note 363018 - File management for SQL Server
Hope this helps.
