Hello everybod,

I'm lost in blogs and documentation about HCI and HCP.

Is not completly clear what is the difference between SCC and HCI-DS agent.

Both are installed on premise, correct?

HCI-DS agent is used for data migration?

Cloud Connector is used for integrate onpremise systems (ERP) with HCI?

we are implementing a SFSF-HCI-ERP integration. So We need use HCI-DS for first data migration? and SCC for build the runtime interfaces?

thanks for any helps

Alessandro

Hello Alessandro,

HCP is for secured communcations.

And HCI is cloud based tool not on-premise.

HCI-DS is an ETL tool used for data migration. For example you have DBs in ECC oracle and you wish it be migrated to HANA DB,you can use HCI-DS

SAP Cloud connector is like middleware to integrate cloud and on-premise applications

SAP Hana Cloud integration DS is an ETL tool for data migration.

Guess you should prefer HCI-DS for data migration as it is going to be a one time activity.

Simply you can saw like it is same like SAP BODS which is  used for Data migration(ETL tool) and SAP PI(Middleware).
