Hi Everyone,
SAP has recently mandated that table functions are the way forward instead of scripted views for any development on HANA.
Could anyone please let me know the reason and the rationale behind this? When I converted a scripted view to a table function, the performance was nearly the same
Thanks
Vinayak
In one case , I had to use a Scripted CV within a Graphical CV. I was getting wrong results . I migrated Scripted CV to Table function and got correct results.

That's the point. The Scripted Calculation view was essentially just a Table Function already. Why maintain two development objects and separate editors for two things which are basically the same. Development options are good if they are differentiating. But if they become largely redundant, having multiple options just adds complexity.
