SAP GUI 7.4 upgrade

Hi Guys,

We are planning to our upgrade our SAPGUI version to our customer.

Currently we are in SAP720 version.

Kindly share your experience on the below,

i. Upgrading  from SAPGUI720 to SAPGUI740 directly.

ii. Upgrading from SAPGUI730 to SPGUI740

iii. List of challenges you have faced from the business perspective

iv. Your feedback on the SAPGUI7.40 with your customer name if possible.

Hello Nikhil,

I would suggest you either have a virtual machine or spare workstation to do some testing on.

That is the only real way of testing and drawing your own conclusions.

Every company has it's own infrastructure and requirements and it's not a safe bet going on someone else's experience.

Have you tried any of these upgrades? Did you encounter any problems? In general both upgrades should work fine, but your local setup might create specific issues. You should really just try it and see what happens. A SAPgui upgrade isn't hard to try...

For what it is worth, given my infrastructure is different from yours, I've done both (7.20 -> 7.40 and 7.30 -> 7.40) and didn't have any significant issues with either.
