Renaming a field in MDG

I am trying to find documentation on how to rename a standard ECC field on MDG . We have renamed the field on ECC and would like to have the same name on MDG portal . We have a co deployment model .

Hi Binoy,

Please follow the below steps-

1.Click on FPM Component Configuration

2.) Select the UIBB and click on configure UIBB

3.) Select the Element on the UIBB, go to Label Text and rename as in you want and save it.

Hi Binoy, You need to create a customization of the particular UIBB where you want to change the label. For that, you need to set a parameter in your user 'FPM_CONFIG_EXPERT = X'. Then go to the Change Request and the UI where the label you want to change. Click on 'Show Configurable Areas' button on top right corner of the CR. Then click on "Configure Page" button on top right corner of the specific UIBB. You will be navigating to another page where you can able to find Additional Functions, click on it. from the menu, select create customization. A new page will open with the component name and config id. Click on 'continue in change mode' button and then select the label, change the label text and save. Thanks, Anupam

Hello Binoy

You can do it. Go to the specific UIBB. Find out the config id and the field. Then open the UIBB in edit mode and change the label...Save the changes.
