Dear All,

Please help us in understanding as how to proceed for Load Testing of a Excel Workbook.

We have created a BEx Queries which is used as Input Template for Planning and also Summary Reports.

We have inserted these BEx Queries in Excel using Analysis for Office (BO AO) tool. and We have saved this Work book as Excel Template on BO Workspace.

We have given the CUID link of this work book in our Enterprise portal from where user access this workbook and completes planning activity.

We have used BW server for Creating the BEx Queries and saved in BW. and we Used BO server to Save the Workbook.

When user is opening the Excel from Enterprise portal, the Excel workbook is getting opened from BO portal and downloaded locally on client PC with analysis for office addin enabled in excel. (something .sapaox extension in file name)

Our Testing team tried recording the scenario using HP Load Runner 12.02, however the requests after the click on the link to open the Excel template are not getting recorded.

Although we have checked after opening of this excel template, in BW there are two sessions created in BW as this excel is creating a direct connection (may be RFC not sure) with client and BW after opening an excel template. we need to understand the type of requests getting generated and we want track these connections.

Our Testing wants an approach for testing these kind of objects. this is first time we are using. Our Team has also tried to record in Fiddler but were unable to record any kind of activities of AO workbook.

Requests you if you can help us in how to carry out the performance testing of Excel Workbooks which use Analysis for Office Tool (SAPBO AO)

We are using SP14 as AO tool.

Regards

Laxmikant.

Hi,

I would start first by looking at KBA 2314218.

Also check out HP KM185130, KM179256.

If you fail to find solution I would suggest a message opened on XX-PART-HP-LOR would be best avenue as issue around LR can be complex.

KR,
