REST services using REST adapter

Dear Experts,

    Please let me know the possibility to expose REST services using REST adapter in SAP PO,using standard or customize WSDL can we push data to receiver for synchronous and asynchronous scenario.

As per our requirement we are giving the WSDL strutcture from PO to target REST receiver side using REST adapter,REST will accept our WSDL structure?

<<If it is Sender side REST will accept our WSDL structure using REST adapter.Correct me if iam wrong.

Can you please give more hint about REST.
