Hello Experts,
Can anyone guide me how to assign Logistics Area ID for products under respective Site?
Let say we have 10,000 material in system & we know which product should be stocked where.
Now when we do GRN, we have to manually assign material to specific Logistics Area ID's all the time. (its too tedious job).
List of Logistics ID are as below
Tool
Accessories
spares
consumables
Product | Logistics ID | Remark |
---|---|---|
Product A | Tool | |
Product B | Spare | |
Product C | Spare | |
Product D | Consumable |
Is there any way to define this on product level?

Hi Vishal,
In order to get the desired Logistics Area at the time of performing GRN, you must set the Material Flow Rules at Site Level.
In addition to maintain Allowed Products under Restrictions tab for each Logistics Area, you need to maintain Material Flow Rules at Site Level with Put Away Strategy as “Material Driven” under Destination tab.
Now at Site Level, create Material Flow Rule: Advanced -> Destination tab -> you can maintain Logistics Area, system fetches the details as the hierarchy with allowed products settings.
Example:
For more info, please go through knowledge base article: Logistics Source and Destination Services via help center. To add multiple products under Allowed Products you can try out migration template as Stefan already updated.

Vishal,
You can assign products to the Logistics Area under a site through the following option -
Click on Edit layout of Logistics Area, Select the respective Logistics Area -> Navigate to 'Restrictions' sub-tab -> Further Navigate to Allowed Products. Here, you can assign the Products to be stored in the respective Logistics Area. You can add as many products you want to be stored in the Logistics Area.
If the solution befit your query, you can mark the thread as answered or helpful.
Thanks,
Nithin
