How to build up TDMS development system?

Hello,

up to now, we use one TDMS server (system ID = TDM) to perform data transfers from several production systems to their respective QA clients and to develop our own customer rules for scrambling. We want to establish a second TDMS server (system ID = TDE) as development system (to test TDMS service packages, for example).

Is it sufficient to build up TDE as a system copy of TDM? Or is a new system installation needed?

Hi Anselm,

Technically it should be possible both ways.

If you want to use any of the customization /configuration already done in your TDM system it will be useful to make TDE as a copy of TDM.

If you need a vanilla system you can go for a fresh installation.
