Dear experts,
We have setup manual batch determination in outbound delivery but we now also want to setup automatich batch determination in WM (TO creation).
However, I cannot create my TO as the status in the outbound delivery says not relevant for TO (WM status = blanco) until I enter a batch.
Any idea what configuration causes this behavior?
Thanks,
Jan
you cannot use batch determination in 2 applications as they could potentially have conflicting results.
If a delivery is relevant for picking in WM is based on the storage location, not on the batch
You have to setup the "Determine picking location" if you want to default the WM storage location, see

Hi Juergen,
Thanks for your reply, the idea is indeed to switch from batch determination in SD to batch determination in WM, therefore I have switched off the auto-batch determinatoin in SD to be able to test my scenario.
In my determine picking location I have already setup the correct configuration.
The only thing I did not maintain is that the storage condition is kept empty as we don't need it in the material master, I hope this is not an issue?
No problem. If you don't maintain storage conditions in material master then you don't need an entry in the picking location determination. If someone enters a condition in the material master then the picking location cannot be determined as you have no matching entry in the determination table.
I rechecked all the required data. The storage condition on material master is empty, as required.
On the sales order we already defined shipping point LC10 through shipping point determination.
Next, we have in our delivery automatically the picking storage location 10W0 which is HU-WM-managed.
As you can see, batch is not completed and WM-status is also empty.
If I complete the batch =>
This is what I do not understand and the reason why I cannot create any TO .
Could you clarify this?
Thanks
Not sure what you expect, the batch that you enter in the delivery is nothing else then a wish, this is not picking.
Picking is performed in WM, you create for example a TO with transaction LT03 and after you confirmed the TO with LT12 the status will change to picking complete and then you can do your goods issue.
Jurgen,
Yes my plant/sloc are assigned to a warehouse.
Item category ZTAN is also relevant for picking.
If this was not setup correctly I would have been unable to create my TO after entering the batch.
Thus and that's what I am trying to make clear:
1) Delivery without batch => no picking relevant items
2) Delivery with batch => TO creation perfectly possible.
Kr,
Jan
