Universe connection working on one but not working on other Universe BO 4.1 sp7

Hi guys

I have got two universes working on the same connection.

When I bring one Universe into the IDT which is a multisource, it works fine, but when I bring in the other Universe which is a single source and uses the same connection, it gives an error saying ' [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified..

But both these Universes work well in Webi

Any clues why?

Hi,

Multi-source unx uses the 64 bit drivers from the server (where the APS-Data Federation Service) resides.

For single source unx you will need the 32-bit drivers and 32-bit DSN on the client machine (where IDT is installed). Make sure the names are exactly same for both the DSN's.

1. Open the problematic universe in IDT 
2. navigate to Repository resources->connections
3. navigate to the connection of the universe.
4. select create "relation connection shortcut" to the same project
5. change the connection of universe in data foundation layer.
6. test the connection.
7. export the connection.
