Hello,
I would like to know EWM 9.2 goes with which version of ECC/ERP.
also, this version compatibility is different with different EWM Deployment options?
Thank you Katrin.

Hello Mrudhula,
when you deploy SAP EWM on top of SAP ERP, there is a hard restriction. The EWM version must be able to work with the same version of the underlying software components as the ERP version. You will usually need a specific release and support package.
When you use an EWM standalone system, you can technically connect SAP EWM to any ERP starting with EHP603. If you want to use the advanced production integration you need EHP606.
In general you are more independent with this deployment option.
Best regards,
Katrin

Hello Mrudhula,
If you install EWM on ERP, there is just one combination allowed. Reason: The same version of underlying components (for example SAP_BASIS) is required. You have this tight connection only when you use the same system instance.
If you install EWM on SAP NetWeaver (= standalone system), you can connect EWM to an ERP system (separate instance) with any version of SAP ERP. EHP 6 or higher will give you more options, but EHP 3 is sufficient to run the standard ERP integration. If necessary anything from 4.6C onwards will work.
When you install your SAP EWM on SAP SCM you are independent of the ERP version (you have separate system instances for EWM and ERP), but you have a tight connection of the versions of EWM and SCM.
Recommendation: Check note 1606493 - SAP EWM Deployment Options Best Practices to find out which deployment option is best for your purposes. In most cases it is option #0 of this note, a standalone deployment on a separate NetWeaver instance. With this option you have a maximum of independence of the software lifecycle and maintenace intervals. But other reasons might be relevant as well. The note contains al the details.
Best regards,
Katrin
