Bejoy - Lumira can connect to OData - see

Can you share more details?  What type of OData it is?

Hi - per the SAP Help at

http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/vi01/en/lum_131_restr_en.pdf

It says "OData data access works only for basic services

Currently, OData (Open Data Protocol) uses only basic services that adhere to version 2 of the OData

specification, and services that do not require user authentication or ther types of input parameters "

Does your OData service meet these requirements?

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for the Input.

Our OData don't have any Input parameters.

We have our product in On premise also and this OData can be easily accessed from Lumira Desktop but same OData in same product hosted on HCP cannot be accesed.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Bejoy - your OData needs to be v2 - that is what Lumira supports.  Can you check that? OData Version 2.0 · OData - the Best Way to REST

Hi Tammy,

The OData version is V2.

<edmx:Edmx xmlns:edmx="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/06/edmx" Version="1.0">

<edmx:DataServices xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata" m:DataServiceVersion="2.0">

Also if it is just an issue with OData version then how it works in on premise ?

Thanks & Regards
Bejoy

Bejoy - if the OData is on HCP, does it require " user authentication"

Remember the SAP help says it will work with "services that do not require user authentication"

Hi Varun ,

Thank a lot for the information...

We were able to connect to OData service (In on premise system ) from Lumira desktop but the issue only comes when we try to connect to the OData service in HCP.

As Tammy pointed out it may be because of "user authentication" but not able really crack what authentication issue it is.

In our POC we want to make sure that SAP Lumira Desktop  (Our customer already have Lumira Desktop ) can be used to provide analytics consuming OData in HCP (Our product).

We are not looking for any other type of connections from SAP Lumira to HCP.

Thanks & Regards

Bejoy
