how to archive file in SFTP seeburger receiver adapter

Hi All,

My scenario is File to SFTP(Seeburger SFTP) .

In SFTP we are encrypting file and I need to move same encryption message file to archive path but there is no Archive option at SFTP seeburger receiver adapter.

Is there any way to archive using SFTP receiver Seeburger adapter.

Thank you,

Narasaiah T.

Seeburger provides a archival module called : SeeburgerPayloadDump.

You can use this module after your Encryption Modules and this would then dump the "Encrypted" Content to the path provided.

Sample usage of this module from Seeburger Content is as below:

  • originalMessage in the above screen shot refers to the Name of your Payload. By default this is MainDocument.
  • targetFile refers to the filepath with the filename.

Bhavesh,

Just curious to know where does the module dump the file in the SFTP/FTP server or in local PI system itself.

If local then how is it different from FileStore Module ?.

Adding to Bhavesh's reply, you can also use filestore module

localejbs/Seeburger/FileStore

Manoj,

  • This archives the file to the Filesystem of PI and not to the SFTP Server. Considering the requirement is to archive content before it reaches the SFTP server, I assume it would work in terms of this requirement.
  • Have never used the FileStore module. Infact looked at the documentation of Seeburger 2.2.2 and didnt find documentation on this. Could be a case of licensing as we do not have licensing for additional features like MessageTracking etc. Guess both of these do the same features but dont have a comparative answer as haven't used this!

Mark,

This module has been around since Seeburger 1.7x on XI 3.0 when I first started my seeburger work.. Something almost all EDI projects use to archive original raw EDI messages before the translation to XML happens. Infact B2B Add On on SAP PO provides a similar Archival Module..

Regarding the blog - Not sure if this is something new. Dont want to repost if there already exists content on it! Will look around!

Hi Bhavesh,

By using SeeburgerPayloadDump Can we move arch. files to UNIX file folder ?

By Unix Folder do you mean the PI local File folder ( where the PI Server is a Unix Server )? If yes, the answer is yes.

In general, any FIle system accessible from your PI Server will be supported via this module. It is equivalent to NFS in your FIle Adapter!

Thank you for this confirmation Bhavesh Even if there is such content, it needs to be updated though.

Hi Narsaiah,

Use two receivers, one for the SFTP and one for the archiving directory.

Hello Narsaiah,

You wont have any archiving option in any receiver file channel.

You can archive only at the sender file adapter once the file is picked.

If you wish to place the file in two different directories configure two channels one for actual and other for Archive or may be os command should work.

Hi Raghuraman,

We have option at SAP SFTP receiver adapter level for archiving files.

How to use OS command ?

Is there any module configuration parameters to archive files ?

Thank you,

Narasaiah T.
