Unpacking and Repacking

Hi,

Can someone guide me through the unpacking and repacking to a shipment pallet process.

I already have packed items into a pallet and the object hierarchy is created in EM.

What kind of an EPCIS event is unpacking?

Basically, from Auto ID test tool I wish to trigger Unpacking of items from its existing pallet and repack the same to a shipment pallet.

Hello Sam,

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to unpack few items (10 numbers) from a pallet containing (50 numbers). Further you want to repack these 10 items into another pallet. To achieve this you have to follow the below steps in test tool.

1. Run a command that triggers Unpack rule. (Check your device condition records to elect the right command)

2. Scan the Pallet ID (SSCC) from which you want to unpack

3. That will leave all items orphaned.

4. Create a new pallet ID (new SSCC). For this you have to again pick the righ command/rule combination.

5. Scan the items that you want to aggregate to new pallet.

6 Now you will get your new pallet ready to assign it to Delivery for shipment.
