SAP LT 2.0 for AFS Company Code Carve Out

Hi All,

Greetings. We are trying to support a customer who is using SAP AFS (IS solution) on ECC 6.06. As part of the sale, one of the company code has to be carved out from the source system.

As per the OSS Note 1462004: SAP LT - Transformation solution "  Company code carve out ", the solution supports from 4.6c upto ERP 6.0 (without Industry solutions).

Based on the above information from the OSS Note, can we conclude that SAP LT 2.0 cannot be used for this project ? If yes, what are the other solutions available from SAP for achieving this task.

Hi Madhav,

I wouldn't say that SAP LT cannot be used. As always it depends.

The SAP LT CC Carve Out is based on a "Clone & Delete" approach. Which means the complete System is copied and SAP LT deletes all Company codes that should not be carved out. For the deletion tool content is needed to determine all the relevant records in all tables correctly. SAP LT has this content for the "standard ERP" solution but not for industry solutions.

But an experienced SAP LT Partner or SAP developers could Support you to add this missing content as a project solution. Technically it is "just" additional tables where the rules need to be specified and implemented.
