NWDI license

Hi ,

To configure and use NWDI on portal does we need separate license ?

Is there any developer license required for NWDI ?

Hi,

As for NWDI, it is a set of j2ee applications, servlets, etc (like DTR, CBS, CMS) running on top of the J2EE stack.
You need license for the J2EE engine where these are running, but it would be inaccurate to say that you get the license for the NWDI (as it is just application on J2EE), but since you cannot run NWDI without J2EE, you need a J2EE Engine, and for that you need license.

There is no need a separate license for NWDS either, see note
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/607141 that says:

"SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

You do not require a separate license key for your standalone SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. You require a license key if you have installed a J2EE Engine in addition to SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio."

no, you only need to have license for the J2EE engine where your NWDI resides.
