In memory capabilities of SAP IQ

Hi guys,

I was researching a bit about SAP IQ, because a coleague told me it had some In Memory capabilities that would help to reduce the time of data access operations? Is there a possibility to include a table in memory for data access improvements or the RLV store only helps with updates/deletes (data changing)?

Thank you

SAP IQ has in-memory capability, yes.  The purpose is only to help loading data in an OLTP fashion.  If the application is loading data via INSERT or even UPDATE but doing so one row at a time, then the IQ RLV (in-memory store) can help.  RLV should not help with DELETE operations.

RLV memory was NOT designed to pin tables to memory.  If you need in-memory performance then it is best to look at SAP HANA for that data as HANA was designed to provide much faster data access in queries for in-memory data.
