SUM SPS17 Parameters for Procedure.

Hi All,

I'm updating dual-stack solman from 7.1 SPS 04 to 7.1 SPS 14 with SUM SPS17.

This my first time I'm updating with SUM and I need help in "Configuration Step" [Parameters for Procedure].

Can you help me to fill following fields? [pls see screenshots]

Hi Arman,

You only need to change the parameter for R3trans process as per the number of CPU.

Suppose you have 3 cpus in your system then you can give

Number of R3trans process in uptime = 3*2 =6

Number of R3trans Process in downtime = (3*2)+2 = 8

We generally dont run the SGEN in shadow instance has its increases the downtime of the system.

Run the SGEN after the upgrade manually. So check the option Do not start the ABAP load generation during upgrade.
