NW 7.40 SPAM Update hanging import_proper - imp all

Hello,

in tried to update the SPAM of my netweaver 7.40 System with kernel 7.42 on Server 20012 R2 but its hanging.

Job RDDIMPDP is planned as ddic and running, but it says that the table is empty in Job Log.

DIR_TRANS and DIR_EPS_ROOT is set correctly. TP Check in SPAM and STMS is working.

Log  Trans/log says: rddimpdp not running or terminated abnormally

But sm37 says its running but the table is empty and nothing to do.

sap_evt log is also good with no error.

Andy suggestions?

In my case I saw in log /usr/sap/transSID/log/SLOG2131.SID this:

WARNING: System SID. Warning. 20210828064147 : ERROR: Background job RDDIMPDP is not scheduled. Please run report RDDNEWPP. ERROR: I'm waiting 100 sec (Count: 202). WARNING: (This warning is harmless if no further warnings follow.)

So I have AGAIN (3 times that day...) run report RDDNEWPP. After that the status in SPAM immediately changed from "imp_all" to the next one and import finished in a few minutes.

/usr/sap/trans/log do you see any errors in the ulog/alog files?

Hi Bastian,

Can you attach tp log and job log to the thread.

Also perform transport tool test in STMS tcode
