Web Intelligence refresh only all data providers

Former Member

Hi All,

i have a question about refreshing web intelligence report.

When I open a webi report and I want to refresh it I click on the button:

In this case I refresh all the data providers.

If I want refresh only one data providers, I just click:

The preferences of the users are set up as:

but if I changed them and put "Applet" every times the report has only the refresh for all and not for any providers.

This is what the customer want but they don't want to change the preferences.

So my question is:

there is a way to disable the refresh for any providers and let only the refresh all?

I see in application and also in access level but i didn't find anything.

thanks to all

Hello,

if you uses the applet mode, you can only refresh one query, if you use the design mode for changing the report. You must use the refresh button under data Access.

Hope that helps

Hi Andreas,

the customer use read mode and not design mode and he doesn't want to change from html to applet in webi preferences.

Hello,

but in html mode you have the the button to refresh only one query (your screen 1).

Only in applet mode, you can only refresh all.

Hi Andreas,

are you sure only in applet mode i can refresh all?

No possibilities to "disable" the refresh one query in HTML mode?

Good question.

You should put it up on Idea Place (ideas.sap.com).

Make sure to ask for it to be a settable option as you wouldnt want to remove functinality (ie changing the HTML from all and individual query refresh to just all).

Honestly the Applet should act the same way that the HTML viewer does.
