ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact error in create database phase in ECC6EHP7 installation

Dear experts,

I am installing ECC6EHP7 on Oracle / Linux 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64. Got below error in create database phase. I have installed Oracle software SBP's when SAPGUI prompted me to install Oracle software.

Here is the message from /tmp/sapinst_instdir/BS2013SR2/ERP607SR2/ORA/INSTALL/STD/ABAP/ora_sql_results.log

ERROR:

ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact 

SP2-0751: Unable to connect to Oracle.  Exiting SQL*Plus

I have checked file permissions of $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle, they are okay (as per SAP note  505630 - Composite SAP Note ORA-12547 )

spf-sap-pet:orapet 61> ls -l $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle

-rwsr-s--x. 1 orapet dba 329219474 Jul  5 15:11 /oracle/PET/121/bin/oracle

There is no dump file (more than 2 GB) found in $ORACLE_HOME/network/log/listener.log.

I am attaching ora_sql_results.log, sapinst.log, sapinst_dev.log for reference.

Can someone please help me to resolve this issue?

Hi Mendu,

Kindly goto the $ORACLE_HOME\bin directory and check whether the oracle file is having a sticky bit or not.

Hi Vinay,

Please try relink all for the oracle. Please note you need to stop listener, oracle instance before relink.
For the details, you can refer to SAP note 97953.
