Hi Friends,
As of now I know there are 3 different options:
1. Upgrade and Migrate (all instances)
2. Upgrade, Migrate and Consolidate (reduce number of instances)
3. Replicate into a Central Finance (and optionally reduce number of instances over the time)
Which is the best option?
Which option you worked for? Pros and Cons for the method your adopted.
What are the sequential steps taken the option you worked for?
How long it took and how much was the downtime before production go-live?
Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Simar
Hi,
there is not best option, it depends on your case - people, budget, timescales, business requirements.
If you have a lot of instances then it's difficult to merge them all at the same time, so it's better to split this process.
Currently I'm working on 2d and 3d options

Hi,
as Aleksey already stated - best option depends always on the customer situation:
- as-is landscape
- number of systems/clients
- status of master data and business processes (harmonized vs heterogenious)
- customers roadmap for finance (and if they decide for S4H - also logistics)
We could not give any estimation w/o any deeper knowledge of the customers current situation - best case os a 2-3 day workshop with a discussion about the roadmap and a scoping for a potential project / PoC.
best regards
Thomas
