Goods movement error

Hii everyone...

while doing transactions in sales order process, am done with creating outbound delivery and picking steps but while doing the goods issue iam seeing an error"Posting only possible in periods 2007/04 and 2007/03 in company code xyz".

can u suggest me a remedy for this

you help is greatly appreciated....

Inform the MM consultant to close & open the Posting Period through Transaction Code: MMPV / MMRV.

hi pavan,

every month the sales period needs to be opened for posting documents. As per the message, it says you can post the goods movement in 2007/04.

You can confirm this by going to material master accounting view where you will find the month and year in which currrently your material is in.

You need to go to MMPV, and give as

company code -

2007

press F8 and enter.

It says conversion done.

Now you post the goods issue it will allow. But be careful that you dont 06 after 05 and so on... means the last period entered is the only one active.

Normally there are two posting periods available, one is in MM, done by t.code MMPV and the other in FI, t.code is OB52.
