SAP BW Oracle version upgrade from 12c To 12.1.0.2.5 version

Hello Gurus,

We have scheduled on our SAP BW an Oracle database version upgrade from 12c To 12.1.0.2.5

Does this means that we need to clear the delta queues? and what other steps should be done previous and after the upgrade?

Hi David,

Are you planing to apply 12c patch? If so, you need to follow up the readme guide.
SAP note 1915316 does help.

Where did you find the information about clear the delta queues?

Actually, the upgrade is from 12c to 12.1.0.2.5. Does this note still apply?

I am having trouble accessing the notes with new SAP user's types, if you have some info could you share it through here or maybe to my email davidchavezbi@gmail.com

Just to clarify, the upgrade is being performed by a basis team, however, I need to prepare the plan for the activities needed in the BW before and after the upgrade such as clearing delta queues, stopping process chains, etc.

Hi David,

If so, then the note is suitable for you. What your intention is to apply patches actually.

Please note the target version may not be 12.1.0.2.5, maybe 12.1.0.2.6 or above if you followed up note 1915316 , because only latest patches are available.
