Inspection lot not created while release production order

Hello Experts

Inspection lot is not being created automatically when I releaseed a production order, even I have maintained 03 inspection type in material master, maintained BOM, routing for the matrial.

Please send me the solution.

In the material master maintain the QM view

• Select Post to Inspection Lot check box
• Add 03 inspection type and make sure it is selected as active
• Select inspection lot with task list
• Select skips allowed
• Maintain any other checks relevant to your process

Maintain your Usage Decision codes using QS41 and QS51

Create your master inspection characteristics using QS21 (if results are being recorded)

Create a sampling procedure using QDV1 (if results are being recorded)

Maintain the routing using CA01

• Add your primary production control key against the work centre e.g. PP01
• Add your QM control key as QM01 against the work centre
• If you are adding results recording, select the QM01 line and select Inspection Characteristics
• Enter the Master Inspection Characteristic for the results recording
• Save the routing

Create production order and select the assignment tab. The inspection lot field should be 0. Release the order and save then the inspection lot should be created and displayed in this field.

Please can you check if the 'Active' indicator [QMAT-AKTIV] checkbox is selected for the inspection type in your material master, plant combination.

I have checked it, it was selected in material master qm view.

still the insp.lot not being created.

When is this inspection type 03 "Active" indicator checkbox got activated? Is it before the Order Release or after it? If it's done after the order is released, you need to repeat the same process once again, or re-read PP master data, and then release the PP order.
