How to apply support stack to a freshly installed solution manager ?

Hello,

I am required to install a solution manager, and so far, I donwloaded the installation media and launched sapinst.exe, once the installation succesfully completed, I did nothing else :

I have been told that I have to implement the latest SPS before starting with the configuration like SOLMAN_SETUP but I have no idea on how to apply SPS.

I downloaded the medias from the SPS14 and SUM but when I launch SUM (starup.bat confighostagent SID) but I can't access the webpage :

Is there a way to directly or even manually implement the SP14, as my system is fresh new ?

Hi, thanks for your answer,

The error of not being able to connect is due to the fact that I tired using HTTPS, while I do not have SSL. Hence I have to use http on port 1128, as stated here :

Starting the SL Common GUI of the Software Update Manager - SAP Identity Management REST Interface V...

I can now continue with the installation, following the SUM steps.

EDIT 1: it asked me for an xml file, I indicated the path to the SPS14_xml, which is the the SPS14 media downloaded from the launchpad.sap.

EDIT 2 : also had to update the SPAM/SAINT, I followed this tutorial except that I copied the file on my client and uploaded it from theree SAP SPAM/SAINT UPDATE - SAP BASIS Tuts

EDIT 3: Trying to update the kernel (SAPEXE_[...] and SAPEXEDB_[...])  according to note 211077

Hi Dimitri,

You have to use SUM in this case. For dual stack, use URL https://FRPARSSM-PCOE:1129/lmsl/sumjava/S67/dual.html

Please check if the hostname entered in IE can be resolved or not, or you can use the IP address instead.

Regards,
