I had used previous versions of Predictive Analysis in conjunction with ERPsim. Judging by the new interface, connecting to the HANA platform is.....maybe possible? Anyone have any words of wisdom?
In the short term, I will be directing students to install Lumira for HANA connection.

Hi Justin, yes SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Analytics offers multiple ways to connect to the HANA platform and leverage its possibilities.
Automated Analytics uses an ODBC connection to SAP HANA and can connect to the various SAP HANA artifacts, the only notable exception being the HANA information models in Data Manager.
Also the creation of most models can be delegated to SAP HANA thanks to the Automated Predictive Library (APL).
Expert Analytics offers "online" (data is not transferred from SAP HANA to the client) and "offline" connections to SAP HANA (using JDBC driver) and can leverage advanced HANA libraries like APL, PAL, Unified Demand Forecasting, Sentiment Analysis and the Optimization Function Library.
Best regards
Antoine
