"Undo" button in Excel Add-In

Dear community,

Would anybody have the pleasure to inform me if there is any "undo" button in the Excel Add-In?

Imagine that I am a planner and I change a value and few milliseconds later I regret it. What do I do if I want to come back to the previous value that I had given?

Thank you very much in advance for your time

Kind regards

Vasilis

Hi Vasileious

if the value is saved undo is not there.

if value is not saved a refresh will get the value back.

To prevent such things maybe a scenario should be used.

only when the planner is confident baseline is changed?

Hi Vivek,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Actually I am talking about the case that I change the value twice without saving any data.

If I regret about the second time that I changed the value and I still want to have my first change but not yet the baseline, is there any undo button like the one that exists in the MS Excel?

I would refresh if I would like to have again the baseline. But what if I want to have my first change?

Thank you once again for your time

Kind regards

Vasilis

HI Vasileious

to best of my knowledge no.

It will go to original value.

Excel undo type function is not supported because the data that you see in excel resides in HANA.

lets wait and see what the experts say?

Hi Vasileios,

This might be slightly off topic, but you might find it useful.

Since IBP 6.1 there is a Back buttong for ad-hoc drill downs.

Example:

a) Right click on a planning point -> Drill Down -> By Attribute -> Select a new attribute

b) After planning view is refreshed, repeat step a) and add one more dimension

c) Now return to step a) by Drill Down -> Back or to the initial setting of the view by Drill Down -> Initial.

There is also a Back button under EPM, which reverts you changes on transnational data back to the initial value same as Refresh button - so there is no benefit using it.

Hi Alecsandra,

Thank you for your answer! Unfortunately this is not exactly what I am searching but indeed it is useful to know for when I will use IBP 6.1.

Thank you once again for your time!

Kind regards

Vasilis
