Counting an attribute

Hi guys,

i am creating a report based on an HANA view.

In my view is the field "contract" which I declared as an attribute. But I also want to count the number of contracts in Lumira, to show them in the report.

My problem is that I can only find how to count a measure but not an attribute.

Is there a way to use the field "contact" still as an attribute but also count the number of contracts in the report?

Hi Bjoern,

If you are using HANA online, then the best way to do this in a report would be to use the Counter functionality in the Visualize room from the highlighted region shown below,

But if using HANA offline, you do have the option of converting a dimension to a measure (the original dimension is still available) under each dimension setting. Here you can select between Count distinct or all values.
