LDAP Over SSL and Password Issues

I am working on configuring a LDAP connector from AD to GRC 10.1 in order to provision new users. When I create a new user through the workflow I created in Access Control, GRC is sending a default password to AD. Because my connector is not an SSL connector, AD is not accepting the password. I was wondering if GRC supports LDAP over SSL? If it does not, is there a way to prevent GRC from sending a password through LDAP?

This functionality is not GRC specific, please check SAP note 456666 - Secured LDAP connection via SSL. Hope this answers your question or you can check with your basis admins.
