I am tryin to access a RFC on SAP through a web service that my SAP XI guy has given me. I am unable to get anywhere with this WSDL, and he insists that .NET is not "standard" and that I will have to debug/modify the WSDL by hand. The only example I have of functioning code is an artifact left behind by a consultant (long since gone), and his documentation indicates that he had to manually modify the SAP WSDL to make it work.
Does anyone have any insight into what is going on? I though that Web Services were a pretty vanilla sort of technology, and that WSDL files are supposed to be freely transportable between technologies. Is it true that Microsoft is using non-standard WSDLs? Does SAP have its own proprietary WSDL format?
