IDOC_ERROR_METADATA_UNAVAILABLE in SM58 Error when opening an RFC connection

Hello Experts,

I am stuck in new interface development and need expert review on this. 

We have inbound IDoc to IDoc scenario.

Sender is trying to send us IDOCs using RFC.

IDOC status at sender side is 3 ie successful.

IDocs are getting stucked at sm58 with error "IDOC_ERROR_METADATA_UNAVAILABLE"

We try to preload meta data manually but it is giving us error, refer below screenshot for the same.

We have PI 7.31 single stack system and we are using existing interface hence only ID objects have been created for the same.

Could you share your RFC destination Unicode settings?

Check if you correctly set up destination for transporting IDOC metadata.

Have you checked the log & traces in nwa?

maybe you can see something there. Also check user and pwd of Destination used for idoc

Hi Chetan,

Check the below sap note is applicable to your system.

1952867 - Issues in Idoc metadata monitor

• The monitor cannot be loaded, if the respective destination is not available.
• The Preload functionality does not work for some of the server nodes in the cluster. The metadata is loaded only on some of the server nodes.
