System Monitoring : Monitoring specific Java Jobs

Hi All,

We are Solman 7.1 SP12. We have system monitoring configured in our environment.

There is a requirement to monitor specific Java jobs with the status "Cancelled". I am aware of the monitor in the Technical System -> SAP J2EE 7.20 - 7.50 -> Java Jobs -> Java Jobs -> Number of Jobs in Status Cancelled.

Our requirement is to monitor specific jobs in status cancelled.

If I try to create a custom metric it does not provide me the flexibility to enter the job name.

Can you please help.

I am Benu - development expert of Job/ BI Monitoring & Test Management.

Monitoring of J2EE Jobs are not offered in Job Monitoring. Job Monitoring supports following job types,

• ABAP Job
• BW Process Chain
• SAP Business Objects Jobs
• SAP Data Services Jobs
• SMSE Jobs (from Solution Manager 7.1 SP14)

To monitor Jobs from JEE you could try using system monitoring with the "J2EE Templates". There must be some metrics for monitoring the status.
