Receiver File Adapter - Empty document found error

Former Member

Hi,

I have a slight issue that I do not understand.

For example, I have a file that is 256 bytes in size and definitely has some content. However, when the file adapter processes the file it says in the log "Empty document found" - but I can see the file has content.

Any ideas ? I am using using XI 3.0 SP19.

Cheers

Colin.

Sorted myself - file had fields encapsulated by " so this causes an issue.

hi colin,

i will agree with u,

may be the XI can not understand your test data,

can u tell me the language of test data.

In file adapter go to encoding select TEXT and UTF-8.

may be this will works.

If you could post the content of the file (if not prohibited doing so), may be we could give a better answer. Or atleast the XML skeleton would help.

Hi,

The content is a comma separated file. It is not even getting converted into XML.

Colin,

So there is something wrong in your sender communication channel content conversion. Check it.

Can you post a sample file and the content conversion parameters you have used?

Colin,

Do you see the message reading into XI. check in sxmb_moni and see whether you have corresponding message or not. If you have then take the source payload and check your mapping.

If everything is correct then your receiver communication channel paramters might be wrong. Also in the reciever communicaiton channel you have a paramter Empty-Message Handling. Set it to Ignore and check.

Hi,

The message is not visible in SXMB_MONI as the adapter thinks it is empty.

But it is not - it has content in it !!!

The parameter you talk about is not available at the patch level I am using.
