Change results with Digital Signature

Hi,

Is it possible to change the result of a MIC once the result has been signed? Or it's necessary to create a new Inspection Lot if a user doesn't input a result correctly?

What's the best way to deal with this issues?

Hi OCS,

it is possible to change the result after making digital signature. But, it not possible to change the result once the Usage Decision is made and the characteristic is not long term.

Also, the method of changing the depends on the configuration of a digital signature. Following are the same.

1. Signature without signature strategy (i.e. single signature): Once the Char is closed (status 5) you can select the char(s) and use unlock button in any of the change result recording transaction to make them editable (status 2) and change the result. The system will keep the audit trail of each change.

2. Signature with signature strategy (i.e. dual signature, done by and checked by approach): In this case, once the first signature is executed the status becomes 3-valuated. And without cancelling / completing the second signature, the results cannot be changed. In this case, you need to do transaction QEDS for second signature. In this transaction, you need to select the signature process for the inspection lot and go for signing and when system prompt for password, you have the option for Complete / Cancel the signature. You can do any of them. if you do complete, the system will close the char (status 5) and you can unlock the same in change result recording transaction. If you do cancel, then the system will cancel the signature and will allow you to unlock the char in change result recording transaction.
