SAP Experts:

We are in the process of migrating the NWD track from NW 7.0 to NW 7.40.  Our NWDI system is on NW 7.0 SPS 17 and running on Oracle 11.0.4 database in Linux environment.

1. Create a new EP track NW740 ( save as from old track nSAP740)

2. Download new NW740 SCA files (COMP_BUILTDT, ECM-CORE ,etc ,....) and upgrade the track.

3. In SLD, search fo custom ( CUSTOM_PORTAL_COMPONENT) and ad all NW740 components respectively in Build time.

4. From Landscape Configurator, add SC to development ( bring them from SLD)

5.Synchronize DCs and SCs and Save..

6. Update CMS

7. Go track 740 and check in and import the custom code PAR file along with new 740 SCA files already deployed.

8. Handover to functional team to check DCs and SCs are in inactive from NWDS.

Please advise, if the migration steps are all correct and we are on right track to perform the migration/upgrade the track.

Thanks,

Girish

Hello again,

I forgot to mention that the you have to create a new version of the product in the SLD

(provided the product with the older SCA which you need to migrate, has references to the 7.0 SCA)

After that you will work with the newer version of this product, which has to be added in CMS - Landscape Configurator - Track Data with option "Sources & Archives"

Regards
