General Question. Adv of using SAP PI/PO over ABAP SFTP program call

Hello Experts,

One generic question.

For example..., SAP Data sends to an non-SAP system using an ABAP program using SFTP.

Now if I want to use SAP PI/PO as a middleware to take care of the Data Exchange/Data Transformation.

What are the Major advantages by replacing ABAP program over SAP PI/PO?

Advantages could be

1.Easy way of monitoring and troubleshooting.

2.Easy way of Encryption/Decryption if required.

3.Also you can convert XML to txt file .
