Dear Experts,

We did our Quality system refresh and we observed that a of configuration changes have been done automatically, this includes RFC destination changes to production , object links destination change, cFolders links pointing to production, change in logical system for financial & capacity planning etc.

I have few doubts on it.

1. What are the changes that system makes after quality refresh apart from those I mentioned above ?

2. Where I can see that path (configuration path)?

3. Why system changes them automatically? Is there a way to track those changes and after every quality refresh we can run a job or a program to reset them?

Kindly provide your suggestions.

Best Regards

Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,

this is a normal behavior to a system copy. Every time you copy your productive system to your quality system (e.g. for productive-near QM or key-user training) all productive settings are also copied. So alle RFC-destinations are configured for productive use, as well as all object links, web server alias a.s.o.

In a normal way your SAP basis guys (especially the RFC-stuff) adapt these settings after a system copy. Perhaps some module related settings (like PPM object links) are done by your (PPM) consultants.

Peter

Thanks Peter,

Could you please tell me what are the possible PPM links that are needed to be checked after this?

Best Regards

Saurabh
